How I handle your data.

Plain-English summary

I'm Jozef, an independent mortgage adviser based in Amsterdam. Yourdutchmortgage.nl is the website I use to introduce my services. I'm the data controller for any personal information you give me through this site.

The short version: I only collect what I need to advise you, I don't sell your data, I never share it for marketing, and you can ask me to delete it at any time.

What data I collect

• Booking-form data: name, email, phone (optional), the topic you selected, and the message you wrote. I receive this when you book an intro call.
• Email correspondence: anything you send me by email is stored in my inbox.
• Calculator inputs:the figures you enter on the calculator never leave your browser. I don't see them.
• Analytics (anonymous): if you accept analytics cookies, I see anonymised page-view counts. No IP addresses, no cross-site tracking.

How I use your data

I use the booking-form data to prepare for our call and to contact you about your enquiry. If you become a client, the legal basis for processing shifts from consent (you submitted a form) to contract(we have an advisory agreement). For prospects who don't proceed, I delete the file after 90 days.

How long I keep it

• Prospect enquiries: 90 days, then deleted.
• Active client files: for the duration of our engagement plus 7 years (Dutch tax-law retention requirement for financial advisers).
• Analytics: aggregated to monthly totals; raw data discarded after 30 days.

Third-party services

I use a small number of vendors to run this practice. They each have their own GDPR posture; I've chosen them on that basis.

• Calendly — calendar scheduling. Receives your name, email, and selected slot when you book a call.
• Google Workspace — email, document storage. Hosted in EU data centres.
• Plausible Analytics — privacy-first analytics. No cookies by default; aggregated visit data only.
• Lender portals — once you become a client, your file is shared with the specific lender we approach (with your written consent).

Cookies

This site uses two kinds of cookies:

• Essential — remember your cookie preference and language. Always on; required for the site to work.
• Analytics — anonymous page-view counts via Plausible. Off by default; activated only if you accept.

You can change your preference any time by clearing your browser's storage for this site.

Your rights under GDPR

You have the right to:

• See what data I hold about you (right of access).
• Correct inaccurate data (right of rectification).
• Have your data deleted (right to erasure, subject to the 7-year retention rule above for active client files).
• Restrict or object to processing.
• Receive your data in a portable format.
• Lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) if you think I've mishandled your data.
